For 140 years, The Salvation Army of Corning has been at the forefront of providing support to those in the most need in our local community.
The heart of our work in Corning is our Kids Café Program, which provides licensed, affordable childcare and academic support for children ages 5-12 from underserved and diverse families. Kids Café also enables parents and caregivers to maintain gainful employment and meet the basic needs of their families. Our goal is to ensure that children develop habits including good nutrition and reading skills that lead to overall success in life.
The Salvation Army is preparing to serve 155 percent more people this Christmas season. We are projecting "unprecedented" need across the country because of the coronavirus pandemic.
