E J Cottrell Memorial Library

E. J. Cottrell Memorial Library is the little library in Atlanta, NY where our community gathers.  At any point in the day you may walk in to find babies crawling around at sensory hour, or seniors drinking coffee while putting together the last few pieces of a puzzle, or students researching a topic on the public computers, and kids gathered around the latest adventure novel.  From line dancing to memorial services, movie nights to puzzle competitions, our little library is our community center.

Last year we raised funds specifically to finish the community room, and guess what!  We reached our goal!  There are still a few odds and ends that the zone commissioner says that we need to finish and hopefully soon we will have an opening celebration!

This year we're looking to raise funds to host the classes and programs that we have been dreaming of to hold in the community room.  We would love to host a babysitting course, more painting classes, how-to classes, and financial courses.  Many of these programs have a cost, and instead of limiting who can come by setting a high fee, we would love to offset the cost of the class with money raised through FLXGives.

Would you donate to this great cause?  We are more than a little library.  We're a community hub for learning, exploring, and being community.  Help us to reach our goal and then join us for these future classes! Thank you!
