Promote peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation; one individual, one community at a time.

Since 1987, the Corning Sister City Association has been connecting people around the world! Sister Cities has three exchange programs, which include San Giovanni Valdarno, Italy, Kakegawa, Japan and Lviv, Ukraine.   This program opens a window to the world for our committee, adult and student delegations, to develop global perspectives.  Our program offers opportunities in our community and around the world, building educational and cultural experiences, while fostering lifelong friendships.

Exchange programs- We are fortunate to host our Italian, Japanese and Ukrainian delegates in our beautiful city!  Through our host program, we welcome our Sister City friends to immerse themselves into the American cultural experience.  In turn, our adult and student delegations travel to Italy, Japan and Ukraine to explore their culture, history and traditions. Beyond school exchanges, the mission includes collaboration on business and economic development, the arts, education, humanitarian and cultural ties.
