Youth Mentoring of the Southern Tier is excited to be a part of FLX Gives 2025!

We are participating in FLX Gives this year because we believe that every young person deserves encouragement, support, and the chance to thrive. For the past 25 years, YMST has offered comprehensive mentoring services across Steuben and Chemung counties. It is our hope to continue to meet the needs of our community through mentoring, but we need your help! Primarily community-funded, YMST needs additional support for year-round mentoring activities that reinforce social and emotional growth. With your generosity, we can continue to provide crucial services that empower young people, build resilience, and strengthen connections within our community!

Your Gift in Action:

• $10 provides healthy snacks for mentees for one month of programming
• $25 provides materials for a meaningful activity for two mentor-mentee pairs, fostering creativity and social-emotional learning

Who We Are

Youth Mentoring of the Southern Tier connects caring mentors with local youth to build positive, lasting relationships. YMST provides weekly site-based programming during which mentors and mentees participate in fun and enriching activities facilitated by Site Coordinators. 

Our Mission: Youth Mentoring of the Southern Tier connects youth with trained volunteers to create trusting, professionally-supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that enhance the quality of their lives.
