IncubatorWorks empowers entrepreneurs across New York’s Southern Tier to start and grow thriving businesses. We support individuals of all backgrounds, especially those underrepresented in business ownership, through accessible education, mentoring, and resources that remove barriers to entrepreneurship. Our locations in Corning, Elmira, and Alfred serve Steuben, Chemung, Schuyler, Allegany, and surrounding counties.

From Inspiration to Impact - Core Program

At IncubatorWorks, we believe entrepreneurship changes lives.  Our Co.Starters business accelerator program has served more than 200 entrepreneurs, helping them turn their ideas into viable businesses through skill-building sessions, mentorship, and a built-in network of peers who support each other throughout the entrepreneurial journey.  Graduates of Co.Starters can continue their growth in our Business Plan class, where they apply what they’ve learned to develop a complete business plan with guidance from experienced mentors.  We also facilitate business pitch competitions in partnership with local colleges, giving local students the chance to present their ideas, receive feedback, and win funding to grow their ventures.

 

Supporting Entrepreneurs at Every Stage - Youth

We’re also shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs through our Summer Youth Entrepreneurship Program, the only summer program of its kind in our region.  In this unique program, high school students explore what it means to start and run a business, working in teams to develop real ventures, pitch their ideas, and build skills that last a lifetime.  This program helps students envision a future for themselves in the Southern Tier.

 

Making Ideas Real - Makerspace

Our approach is practical and community-driven. Entrepreneurs also receive individualized technical assistance and access to our Elmira Makerspace, equipped with 3D printers, a laser cutter, Cricut machine, and more. We don’t just teach entrepreneurship: we create opportunities for people to discover their potential and make it real.
