IncubatorWorks (IW) supports a diverse and inclusive community of entrepreneurs in
the Southern Tier.
We help entrepreneurs develop their idea and grow their small businesses!
How do we help? We provide them with the resources they need.
Who do we help? IW serves a diverse and inclusive group of entrepreneurs. All ideas and any size business welcome!
Why do we help? Developing entrepreneurs helps us develop the economic strength and character of our commUNITY.
Our ask for help? Our entrepreneurs need your support. More than half rely on us for scholarships. The registration fee only covers a nominal amount of the total cost. Your contribution will make a BIG difference in their future.
In 2019, IW launched the Co.Starters accelerator program, the only one of its kind in our region. It provides entrepreneurs with a 12-session program that develops their idea, tests their idea with customers, provides the framework of financial projections, and concludes with their pitch presentation. The participants say that our program is, "educational, eye-opening, phenomenal, and insightful."
"IncubatorWorks gave me the knowledge and tools I needed to advance my ideas into a reality." ~ John Stanley, SGT (Stanley's Meal Prep & Catering LLC)
Since 2020, IW has been collaborating with local colleges to organize pitch competitions. In April of 2024, IW planned the 2nd Annual "607 Soaring," a startup collegiate competition, in the Southern Tier with participating students from SUNY Corning Community College & Elmira College.
IncubatorWorks' Summer Youth Entrepreneurship Program empowers Elmira High School students by fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and exposing them to real-world opportunities. Through guest speaker sessions, field trips to local businesses, manufacturers, and colleges, students gain valuable insights and inspiration to persist through graduation and pursue their future career paths with confidence.
IncubatorWorks is an independent, nonprofit, standalone incubator. With your support, we will be able to continue and grow our entrepreneurial community.
Additionally, other programs include our business plan class, giving Co.Starters graduates the chance to build on what they’ve learned by creating a real business plan in a cohort-based setting. Also, we invite you to explore our Makerspace at the Elmira Incubator! Equipped with 3D printers, a laser cutter, a DSLR camera, an embroidery machine, a Cricut, and even a gaming computer, it's the perfect place to create. Interested in learning more? "Without IncubatorWorks we would be out there alone and I don't think we would be as successful as we are today." ~ Dave Rowe (Greenstar Services Incorporated)
