Pro Action of Steuben & Yates, Inc.

Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. is a Community Action Agency serving Steuben and Yates Counties since 1965. Pro Action offers a comprehensive, integrated family of services that support as they strive to advance themselves.

The Pro Action Youth Development Program (YDP) is an out-of-school time drop-in youth program that operates after school during the school year, and all day on weekdays in the summer and on school breaks. Activities offered through the YDP include homework support, outdoor play, STEAM activities and projects, crafts, downtime, recreation, and learning programs from partner agencies. A Youth Advisory Council routinely provides input into program plans and decisions. 

FLXGives will help Pro Action’s YDP expand educational opportunities and community involvement/contributions through their community garden project, and YDP store. By doing this, we can expose youth to new skills in the following areas:

Agriculture/gardening

Financial Literacy/Business

Science/Math

Art

Cooking/Life Skills
