$5,000 Goal

It’s clear—our community’s enthusiasm for art and culture has never been brighter.

This year’s theme of Color! has infused the Museum with creativity and energy. With your support, we’ve reached thousands of K–12 students through transformative arts experiences, presented vibrant exhibitions, and hosted joyful family and community programs. Our stunning Alley Art Project mural, Colorscape, amplified the voices of local youth, while our lectures and concerts filled the Museum with lively conversation and music.

As we approach The Rockwell’s 50th anniversary in 2026, we are building on this momentum under the unifying theme Rockwell Reframed. Together, we will:

  • Remain a vibrant community hub and collaborative regional partner;
  • Re-center diverse perspectives on the evolving American experience;
  • Reimagine the museum experience through creativity and innovation;
  • Reinvent our spaces and programs to engage audiences of all ages; and
  • Reinvigorate a culture of philanthropy that sustains our mission for the next fifty years.

The Rockwell is not just a museum in Corning—it’s your museum, a reflection of our shared stories and aspirations. As we prepare for this milestone year, your generosity will ensure that the Museum continues to inspire, educate, and connect.

Please consider making a gift—or an additional gift—to support The Rockwell’s bright future. With your support, we are poised to enter our next half-century with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Who We Are

Our diverse, unique collection, gifted by Bob and Hertha Rockwell, serves as the base of our work, and provides inspiration for our innovative programs. Our mission is to use our collection to stimulate and engage our visitors, both within the Museum and within the greater Corning community.

Housed in Corning’s Old City Hall, we have a strong presence in the local community. The Rockwell hosts activities for people of all ages and interests, from innovative arts education for children and their parents, to exceptional lectures by leading scholars.

We provide our visitors with the opportunity to experience the history that lies at the heart of Corning, view world-class fine art, attend classes or programs, or simply relax, reflect, and shop.

As a Smithsonian Affiliate and hallmark of the Corning community, we offer an experience that is distinctly unique to the area. Visitors to The Rockwell experience the people, land and ideas that shaped America, all in a relaxed, intimate and accessible environment.
