Help us raise money for our Cancer Care Grants!
In addition to the physical and mental toll of cancer treatment, many also experience significant economic challenges beyond what insurance and existing household finances can manage. This fund supports those struggling with financial burdens that consistently affect their ability to receive treatment and feel as self-confident as possible. Examples of expenses we help support include: Wigs Head coverings Transportation Child care Elder care Nutrition Prosthetics Skin care Insurance premiums Anything else that isn’t covered by insurance.
In response to increasing requests by local organizations during our annual grant cycle, the Fund for Women established a dedicated grant to help our nonprofit partners purchase and provide feminine hygiene products to women and girls in need in our communities. These often costly essentials are not covered by SNAP benefits which can add further financial strain to a family's tight budget. Additionally, without proper hygienic supplies women and girls face risks to their health, education and economic self-sufficiency.
Your support will allow the Fund to provide grants to local nonprofits trying to keep their shelves filled to help more girls and women right here in our region. When girls and women are supported, they can be active participants in work, school and the community.

We do this by providing grants to girls and women striving to realize their life goals, improve their health and achieve economic self-sufficiency, and local nonprofit organizations who support them with programs and outreach. Our hope is that every grant has the power to help transform a life, by giving every girl and woman the confidence of knowing that other women believe in them and are here to help.
The Fund for Women is the only dedicated funding source for girls and women living in Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and Yates counties in New York State.
