Cassondra is the upcoming Executive Director of My Place: A Play and Learning Center, where she has devoted over four years to cultivating an after-school program built on connection, curiosity, and care. Her educational philosophy is simple yet powerful: every child learns best through play. She believes that play is not just a pastime—it’s the foundation of discovery, creativity, and confidence.

Through her leadership, Cassondra has helped shape My Place into a thriving, inclusive environment where children feel safe to explore, families feel supported, and staff feel inspired to grow. Her work has centered around strengthening partnerships with the school district, developing enrichment opportunities through the LEAPS Grant, and creating meaningful experiences that meet the needs of the “whole child”—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Cassondra envisions My Place as more than a daycare and afterschool program—it’s a community hub where play becomes purpose, and every child’s potential is nurtured with joy, compassion, and belonging.
