Liz’s My Place Fundraising

My My Place story begins with our two Covid babies—our sweet, energetic, and bright Sunny and August. Even during those difficult times, My Place never missed a beat in caring for them, and the boys thrived. I still remember the day they came home singing a song, their little voices full of spirit. At that age, many of their words were hard to make out—especially because they were always learning new ones! The song turned out to be about the continents of the world, and I still smile thinking about the moment I realized they were saying, “Africa and Asia…” My heart just exploded!

As Treasurer of the Board, I understand the immense impact that FLX Gives has on the My Place organization. Every dollar goes directly toward critical child development enrichment programming, educational and social-emotional curriculum for children from infancy through elementary school, as well as staff development and stability for families and employees across Schuyler County and beyond.
