Judy Bligh Vincent House Fundraiser

Vincent House means so much to me for several reasons. Over the years several of my colleagues were residents of Vincent House in their final months. I am also a firm believer in hospice care, having had both my parents in at-home hospice services. Due to the care and compassion that hospice provides, I've become a resident care aide volunteer at Vincent House. And finally, Vincent House will always be special to my family, as this is where Matt's father spent his last few weeks of life. He was surrounded by caring people, received a commendation from the Veterans' organization, was visited by  Marvin the therapy dog many times, and was so well cared for. Vincent House is a social model hospice home that provides end of life care to folks in the journey of their last three months of life and their families. What is social model hospice? Social Model Hospice is a bridge between folks that wish to die in the comfort of their home but maybe forced to consider going into a facility due to lack of funds, or resources. Vincent House provides a home setting with 24 hour round the clock care at NO COST to the residence or their families. From the beautiful lush garden in the summer, to the cozy kitchen filled with the smells of fresh baked goods, warm food, and coffee to the country quaint bedrooms this is truly home in every sense of the word. With compassion and dedication of  50+ volunteers and 6 staff they are able to provide exceptional care. Upstairs are three guest bedrooms and 2 baths for family members to be able to stay at their loved ones side as much as they would like. 

Vincent House partners with local community members to provide end of life massages, hair cuts and shaves, and visits from Marvin their therapy dog. They are also a proud sponsor of the We Honor Veterans Program, making sure those who have served and sacrificed are given the recognition and care that they need.
