Give With Your Whole Heart to Hospice: Supporting the Body, Mind, & Spirit
This year, the CareFirstNY staff is divided into three fundraising teams—Body, Mind, and Spirit—each representing a different aspect of the comprehensive care we provide.
Support Team Spirit: Honoring Life, Legacy, & Connection đź’›
Team Spirit focuses on hope, meaning, and legacy, helping patients and families honor life, create lasting memories, and find connection during hospice care. This includes spiritual care, memorial and remembrance events, the Wish Fund (granting last wishes), We Honor Vets, Pet Peace of Mind, and grief resources.
Your gift to Team Spirit supports:
Spiritual care and supplies for patients and families of all beliefs.
Memorial and remembrance events, helping families honor and celebrate life.
The Wish Fund, granting meaningful experiences and providing essential comfort items for patients.
Grief books, resources, and legacy projects that allow families to reflect and connect.
We Honor Vets Program, providing recognition, ceremonies, and specialized care for veterans.
Pet Peace of Mind Program, ensuring hospice patients’ beloved pets are cared for or re-homed after a patient’s death.
Social worker support, helping families honor wishes and navigate end-of-life conversations.
Why I Support CareFirstNY:
After nine years with CareFirstNY, this work still moves me every single day. I’ve had the privilege of sitting with families as they share stories, laugh through tears, and honor the lives of their loved ones. Hospice care is about so much more than medical support—it’s about connection, dignity, and love. Supporting CareFirstNY means helping people find comfort, meaning, and peace in life’s most sacred moments. 💛
