The Junior League of Greater Elmira-Corning is part of The Association of Junior Leagues International—an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

During FLX Gives, we’re raising funds to support empowering women, strengthening families, and building a more connected Elmira-Corning.

Your donation helps us:

• Award annual scholarships ($2,500) to local students pursuing higher education

• Provide community grants to nonprofits—like our recent grant to the Neighborhood Transformation Center to help purchase a new stove

• Support organizations like C.I.D.S.(Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Developmental Services, Inc), where we fund diapers and wipes for families during home visits ($5,000)

• Participate in initiatives like Stacy’s Soap Drive, supporting survivors of domestic violence

• Volunteer with projects like Happy Compromise Farm + Sanctuary and Women’s Build Day with Chemung County Habitat for Humanity 

• Continue our tradition of donating food and serving the Thanksgiving Dinner at Southside Community Center

• Foster meaningful connections and shared growth across generations of members—honoring our legacy while embracing fresh perspectives and new ideas

• Encourage family-centered engagement through events that celebrate togetherness, like roller skating and our Mother-Daughter Dance
